:עלווית מלכילונית . עלווית קטנה ודחוסה ופעילה בצורה קיצונית . דומה לעלווית צהובת-גבות אך ירוקה יותר ובעלת פס צהוב על קודקודה . חלקי גופה העליונים ירוקים בהירים וגחונה לבן ברובו . פס העין בהיר וכן שני פסי כנף, שתה וצידי זנבה . בית גידולה משתרע מדרום סיביר למרכז אסיה דרך מונגוליה ועד לצפון הודו , בית חיותה באזור הטיגה אבל בעיקר בהרים עד לרום של 3000 מ . בינות לסבכים שיחים וחורשים . בארץ עוברת אורח אקראית ונדירה, נצפתה בחצבה ובנחל צין ליד שדה בוקר

9 cm, 6-7 g, wingspan 12-16 cm. Tiny, compact, and extremely active Phylloscopus. Plumage rich but fairly pale green above and mainly white below, with pale supercilium, crown-stripe, two wing-bars, fringes to tertials, and rump. Sexes similar, little seasonal variation. Habitat. Breeds in middle and lower middle latitudes of east Palearctic, in taiga towards north of range at high altitudes optimally at 2000-3000 m in western Himalayas, up to 4000 m in C and E Nepal and further east. Frequents uneven-aged taiga-type forest rich in thick undergrowth ascending to upper limits, stunted conifers, and open woodlands with shrubby meadows, but sings from tops of tall trees where available, and nests in pines 3-4 m above ground. Food and Feeding. No further information. Breeding. No further information. Movements. Altitudinal and long-distance migrant. Northern race, nominate , migratory. Winters from China S to N Indo-China and Hainan. West Himalahan race simlaensis, makes altitudinal movements, vacating breeding range for lower elevations, from Pakistan E to W Nepal. Chinese race, chloronotus, make altitudinal movements, , vacating breeding range. Status and Conservation. Not globally threatened. Israel. In Israel subspecies proregulus straggler, photographed and ringed at Hazeva and Sede Boker.
