:זרזיר בורמזי | . בינוני בגודלו, ראשו וחזהו בצבע לבן מלוכלך וחלקי גופו העליונים ארגמניים , עינו מודגשת בפס שחור. גווני צבעיו משתנים בתקופות שונות של השנה . מלבד הצבע האדום של קצה מקורו . בית גידולו משתרע בדרום מזרח אסיה בבורמה, תאילנד וויאטנם . בית חיותו באזורים יבשים ופתוחים ובקרבת מגורי אדם . נוהג להתלהק בלהקות גדולות בארץ מתחיל להתרבות ולהתפשט בפארק הירקון בצורה פראית . ולא מבוקרת לאחר שנמלט משביו ... לא לחינם הלך זרזיר אצל עורב אלא מפני שהוא מינו ... חולין ס"ב ע"ב

25 cm. Whole head and breast dirty white, upperparts purplish, the plumage varies greatly with the seasons, but the red-tipped bill es usually noticeable. Habitat. Dry zone bird. Usually seen in large parties feeding on the ground in open grassland, gardens, cultivaation, and scrub-jungle. It has the family habit of collecting in commonal roost at night. The rost may be in reeds, sugar cane, bamboo clumps, or similar cover. Food and Feeding. Mainly insects. Breeding. Breeds from Apr to Jun, with second broods up to Aug. It builds and untidy nest under the eaves of houses or in holes in trees and the roofs of wooden huts. Movements Apparently to be sedentary in native range. Status and Conservation. Not globally threatened. Widespread and common on there zones. Israel. In Israel subspecies Sturnus burmannicus feral on the Yarkon park near Tel Aviv.
